3. FEEL THE RUSH
4. FEEL THE RUSH (Junkie XL remix)
I used to like Lovin’ U. I really really loved it but, after a period of time, I started thinking of it as a “just okay song”. It kind of grew old for me and my tastes and didn’t have the same spark it had when I first gave it a listen. Well, It may be old for me but, I still think that melody.’s voice in this song is terrific! After listening to her old songs, I could say that her voice has improved BIG TIME! Before, her voice sound so bad that it makes me say “ouch!” but now, all I could say is just “WOW!”. Anyway, This song opens with a sparkling sound immediately followed by melody. singing the verses, accompanied by an acoustic guitar and snap-sounding hi-hats. It is later followed by the chorus which contains a good dance beat and more acoustic elements. In conclusion, It’s just an “okay” song. It’s not that bad, It’s not that good either.
I know I said that melody.’s vocals in the previous song is good. Well, that’s what I thought… until I heard Our Journey. This song is like the previous track. It’s not that special, although, In terms of vocals, this song is so much better. melody.’s voice is in good condition and is obviously in great control. Her vocals also fits this song. It perfectly blends with the pianos, the violins and the guitars. Although, This song needed a Boost because it sounds so boring making the song sound so B-side material-y.
I know I hated FEEL THE RUSH before. But now, I have different opinions with it. Unlike before, I think that out of all the songs from this single, this one is the best. It’s energetic, melody,’s voice is powerful and the arrangement is great. It opens with an aggressive sound immediately followed by the “oh yeah, yeah yeah” lines melody. was singing. It is then followed by the verses which runs about a minute then reaches the chorus. The chorus is extremely catchy and is really really groovy. Well, come to think of it, most parts of the song is catchy and groovy.
The final track from the single is the JUNKIE XL REMIX of FEEL THE RUSH. It features a club feel that mixes with the song perfectly. I prefer the original version when it comes to pop/techno songs but I prefer this one when it comes to club songs. Overall, It’s really good and is not as bad as I thought it was.
