tracklist:
1. Blue Bird
2. Natsuiro Wakusei
3. Blue Bird (instrumental)
To be honest, I never liked Ikimonogakari a single bit before. Well, I think the “most” reason for that is because I haven’t tried anything of their stuff yet… but, after hearing Blue Bird, I was like, “Oh, God! This song is so good!” I discovered them because of my sister who’s a big “naruto-fan” who happens to be listening to the song in imeem. I wanted to listen to it on my own, and I did. Actually, I really really liked it. It’s soo good, that when I was listening to it, I wanted to kick myself for not wanting to try them out before, but, now, I am really looking forward to their new stuff. Anyway, I love this song for having a very very catchy melody and for having great chorus parts. The instruments were excellent too especially the piano, the guitars and the percussion. My favorite part of this song would have to be the harmonica solo at the beginning part of the song after the few chorus lines. In my opinion, Kiyoe’s voice really goes well with the rock music and I think her voice really shines in this song. In conclusion, this song is a must-listen for J-rock fans out there because I know you will totally love it!
For the B-side, Natsuiro Wakusei, I liked it too. It was more laid back than the A-side, and really makes me feel at home when I listen to it. It contains a great calm feel and sort-of-twinkle sounds at the background, which was really cool. Just like in all of Ikimonogakari’s songs, This song is very very catchy and has a great overall arrangement.
