LOVE~winter song~ is Miho Fukuhara’s 4th official single. It was released on December 3, 2008, and reached #14 on the charts. It sold a total of 17,012 copies during it’s 3 weeks in the top 30. The title track was used as a theme song to the J-drama, SCANDAL.

So, I AM A LITTLE LATE in reviewing this single since the holidays has passed, like 2 months ago but, what the heck?! The a-side is brilliant!!

LOVE~winter song~, Miho’s last single for the latest era, has to be the best one she has released. It has that cheery christmas feeling that brightens up your day, and that catchy melody that just makes you wanna join them and sing along. Adding the sort-of church choir at the background was a brilliant idea because it makes the song sound more christmas-y, and it sets you in the mood for the holidays. The catchy melody created by the winter bells, the beats, and the brassy instruments, were really a great match with Miho’s voice. So great that it made me have goosebumps while listening. Miho’s golden voice was astounding because she hits every-single-note perfectly without a flaw, and because she enjoys every single bit of the song. One of the perfect winter songs in my opinion, and personally, is my most favorite one.

When I loved the A-side, I really hated the first B-side, I BELIEVE. It has that 80s-90s feeling that annoys me so much since it didn’t fit Miho’s style of singing. It’s another christmas song, but doesn’t sound like one so,completely a skip-worthy track.

The next b-side, All in time, is a looot better. It’s not on the same level as the A-side but, it’s quite alright. It has that loyal-acoustic ballad sound that gives the listener a very smooth experience. You’ll love Miho’s voice in this song because she gives excellent vocals (as always), with the use of the power of her voice. She has complete control over it, and she can easily sing this song, even though it has many loops. In all, this song was pretty much of a savior since it helped the single from falling down because of the lame “I BELIEVE”.
