(Okay, whatever that means..)
Nobody -5in1 LIVE REMIX- was Performed by the Wonder Girls on the 2008 Golden Disk Award. It was aired on December 10, 2008.
So, Yeah. I’m into Wonder Girls lately, and is sooo in love with Nobody, their latest release. The main reason for me being so addicted to Nobody now is this live version. I mean, oh come on! It’s a 5-in-1 remix live performance. You get to see different styles of remixes, and you get to choose which is the best out of the 5. It’s like my dream performance come true! Since I;m so happy about this performance, I made a special post about it. Here’s my review if you want to know what&who’s my favorite style&performer but, If you don’t want to know about it then, SCRAM!
moving on shall we?..

We kick things off at a jazzy direction with the Jazz Live Band remix,
performed by the one and only SunYe. I have to say, when I first heard this remix, made my mind blew up because the blending of the jazzy instruments and the song was perfect! You won’t even know that it’s in live since SunYe sings perfectly and believe me, She’s not lip-synching. She simply adds some adlib parts that make it sound even more real! While the song was the best, the dance was a bit of a let down. Not that I’m saying she dances bad but, in the part where she sways her hand from front to back, I was turned off a bit. I don’t think that swaying your hands from front to back is necessary since it sort-of don’t fit the style of the remix. Either way, the performance was good but, it could’ve been better without the said dance step.

The next remix is performed by Sun Mi. The remix, simply named as the POP
remix, uses beats that I’m sure I’ve heard before.. I’m not sure where I’ve heard them though. Anyway, I think the remix is good. How they transformed the song into a different taste of pop is great, and the way Sun Mi sings is rather awesome and realistic. I have hatred for the next part though.. THE DANCE! Dammit woman! Can’t you dance, you know, not that stiff-ly? You look like a robot, dancing freak that just looks plain weird. Loose the way you dance, and you’re good to go! Seriously. I’m not being mean or anything but, I just have to complain. Besides, The dance doesn’t seem to be all that great with the song. Awesome REMIX, BAD Choreography.

The main loss of the previous part was fully made-out by the club remix by the cutest So Hee. Despite So Hee being not my favorite member anymore, I have to say that she still has that cute talent of hers. Especially when it comes to dancing. She, in my opinion, is the best out of the 5 when it comes to dancing, simply becuse she can move her body freely, smoothly, and softly. I’m also impressed by how the staff transformed the original Nobody to this one since I wasn’t expecting a techno-club version in front of me. Oh, and I also have a thing to say about the filtered voice of So Hee.. IT Fxxxing rocks!! She should work with Nakata or something!! Anyway, a nicely done performance, in my opinion.

We slow things down with the RnB mix of Nobody by the one and only Ye Eun. Before anything else, I’d like to tell you that I’m going to be frank with this performance now. I thought it was a bland performance because of three reasons..
01. it’s a damn slow song..
02. there was only one dance included in it
03. the only dance looked like a strip tease with a wierd hand stretching step.
But to tell you guys honestly, the blandness it had sort-of suited the rnb style. The song was all smooth, and laid-back, while the dance was all sexy (which would have been sexier if she didn’t do the weird stretching thing). I am quite disappointed since the performance only had one preformer because I do think that even a slow song could use a few more dancers. just imagine, 3 more girls dancing off to that RnB jam. It would look so much cooler than this one. But anyway, it’s still a good performance but, it’s absolutely one of the weaker ones.

Closing the individual segment is the Rap Mix by, obviously, YooBin. So, The performance opens with the “stop baby” phrase, which I think was an annoying thing, then it is followed by the furiously fast rap. I quite like how YooBin raps in this part because she can completely say the words in control, and without having too many tongue twists. I can follow the rap but, at not that insane speed. It’s my 3rd favorite part for the night so, Yay for YooBin! XD.

After the 5 solo perf.’s, we get to see the girls together as agroup singing my
favorite song.. XD.
My most favorite part of the night’s performance would defintely be this grop performance. I loved how they entered the stage through the elevator-thingamajig. It just wows me whenever I see them pop out of nowhere and just see them starting to dance. Oh, and talking about the dance, it was oh my GOD!! brilliant!! All of them were moving graciously, and in sync, and everything was just perfect.
The singing was the same. Nothing changed really but, it was da bomb!! I definitely enjoyed every single bit of it, and I’m sure everyone did.

So, overall, I definitely enjoyed this perf. Even though some parts may be boring, I never am unhappy with what I am seeing. I just see them as something they should improve. Anyway, A 2 thumbs up!!

So Hot

Wonder Girls – So Hot

So Hot is the third release of the Wonder Girls. It was released on June 3, 2008 and reached #3 in the charts. It sold a total of 31,840 copies.
tracklist:
01. So Hot
02. This Time
03. You’re Out
04. Tell Me (Rap Ver.)
So Hot is a fresh RnB song that has a good rhythm and very girly lyrics. Some examples of those girly lyrics that I’m talking about are “I’m so hot, I’m so Pretty”, “I’m so fine, I have such charm” and “everybody’s watching me ‘cos I’m hot hot”. Doesn’t it sound like they’re talking so much about their hotness?? Well, I do have to agree with them… They ARE hot :] Anyway, let’s talk about the song… The song has a great combination of strong beats and accompaniments. The song was really great to say the least. The only bad thing about it is that it was so short. I mean, come on! 3 minutes and 1 second? I wouldn’t mind if it was like 10 minutes long because of it’s awesomeness.
The next track, This Time, is a slow song that has an RnB feel in it. The blending of the girls’ voices in this song sounded good. I don’t really understand what the girls are saying but, from what I heard, I can tell that it’s a sad love song because of the great emotion the girls are carrying with their voices. As any other WG ballad, this song was beautiful. I really enjoyed it.
You’re Out sounded like something from their “Wonder Years” album. It doesn’t really fit the theme of the single but it is quite good. It has a pop-ish melody that is surrounded by buzzing synth and pop/rnb elements. Other than that, I just think it’s an above average song. That’s all.
I used to hate the rap mix of Tell Me, since what I originally heard was the album version. But anyway, I think this version is a lot better. The rap gave the song a new look, and it’s really really catchy. I’m glad they have finally decided to release this version.
